but my 2.5 yo dd has become a junk food junkie. Luckily, I've been able to find healthier alternatives to most of her favorite foods, but the one I'm stuck on is those darn cheese on cheese crackers (Lance is one brand) that all the convenience stores sell. Ritz bits is another favorite.

Does anyone know of a healthier version of these snacks?

Thanks!

in the super baby food book there are recipes for "goldfish" crackers as well as others. and put your own natural peanut butter on them (lance like).

or you could buy organic/nonhydrogenated crackers at the grocery store and put your own natural peanut butter on them (ritz like).

i make ds peanut butter balls---1 cup flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 stick butter and 1 egg. mix and roll into tiny balls. bake on 350 till browned. let cool before you move them. he loves them!

Umm, what about peanut butter, LOL (Just curious how much to use, assuming there IS peanut butter in them, they sound delicious)

well you would think there is peanut butter given the name:D

i forgot to add that you put 1 cup of peanut butter in them. i use natural peanut butter. and they are really good....of course i would like them a little better with maybe some melted chocolate over them or mini choc. chips inside....dh loves them too!
