We just closed on our house yesterday! ( thanks to everyone who encouraged us!) We need to get a fence up asap. Anyone have any tips or ideas for savings here? One side and the back has wooden privacy fencing already, so we would just need to do one side and the front toward the house... We would really like privacy fencing, but I'm not sure we can afford to have someone come out and install one, I'm going to call for estimates today.

Also, I really want this move to go smoothly. Dh's company is paying for movers, so that part is going to be okay. What I need to do is think ahead so it's less stressful. I'm planning to move some basic kitchen stuff down and soap, towels, toilet paper, prior to the weekend so we can function, kwim? What else should I do? And our fridge is being moved, so I'm going to be without one for at least two days....

I swore I hated chain link fences.....they just sound so ewww...and some that I see are just ewww...lol....but in our area, we are "supposed" to get chain link over wood for the care factor and etc. So we did. It was a lot less price wise...and the dogs can't chew the wood, cause well, there is no wood. LOL. And we installed the little privacy slides in them....the strip you slide into the holes for privacy. Works great. (o:

You could always check with fencing and pool companies to see if they are doing an new install and the old fence is in pretty good conditon. You might be able for free is you pick it up.

When my sister put a pool in they changed the fence to board on borad. Her old fence was only 1 yar old and in excellent condition. She sold her old fence for $200.00 to someone down the street who need a fence.
