HIs first. He's 3.5 years old. He had a sinus infections 18 months ago and was rx'ed amoxicilan liquid and we had to restrain him to give it to him. 3 dose of that and I was done, switched to GSE and he seemed to recover fully.
This time they write the rx for chewables. No dice. DH thinks that since he has an infection he needs ABX. I'm okay with giving him GSE instead, but I fear a burst eardrum.

Can I get some help on what I can give him to get him over this? He also has a cold (snotty nose, wet cough) that we'd been dosing him with Pulsatilla for (that remedy seems to fit him to a T). We have some EOs in the house, the GSE... an ASSORTMENT of homeopathics.

~amey (he's 37 pounds, if that matters - 39 inches tall)

one word: chiropractic. I don't have time now but if you search chiro & ear infections, I've told Lydia's miracle story before.

Laurie,
Tht would assume he'd take the motrin. We have samples of blue advil from the pedi and some dye free ibuprofin from the store - he'll take neither. I think they just tasty chemically to him and then there's nothing doing. We've tried smuggling it in stuff. Why, then, will he ask for nd take the grapefruit seed extract willingly? that stuff's icky!

I'll see about chiropractic. It's a pita that this hit Friday afternoon...

thanks for the info so far.

I have always put TTO in my ear when I get them. Just a couple drops, a couple times a day. It may not work for some stages, but for me, I start it the same day I notice an ache, and it's gone within 3 days. It makes it itch a little while it's healing.
