Is there one? I ran one that was free, and it said I had a few viruses. Of course, when I clicked on "fix it" it wanted to charge me $24. Now, I don't have a problem paying for a virus scan and fix program, I just want to know it is reputable!
Any advice?
I am NOT puter savvy, so if you recommend "Virus Scanning and Fixing for Dummies" I wont be offended. :D

If you are looking to buy antivirus software, Norton Antivirus is the best one. It runs $30-40, but if you watch Office max for sales, you can get it cheaper sometimes. if you know the name of the virus, symantec.com usually has fix tools for pretty nmuch all the viruses. They are free. PM me if you have specific questions. I am not a real expert, but I do have a little experience with fixing viruses.
Here's an article reviewing some fre antivirus programs: http://www.pcworld.com/howto/article/0,aid,113462,00.asp

I use the one on the www.trendmicro.com site when I need to scan online - the scan is free, I can't remember if removing viruses is, but I *love* PC-Cillin (their program) and have been much happier with it than Norton or McAfee (both of those slowed my computer down sooo much). HTH!
