Does anyone have an suggestions on getting ride of the mold that a leaky pipe caused? It's in our bedroom of all places and I don't use bleach on any thing else in my house. I sure don't want use it in here where my 8wk old dd sleeps.

Any suggestions? My landlords took their time with getting it fixed and caused us to have ichy ichy black mold. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

well bleach is the best. 10% solution sprayed on, let it sit, then wipe it off. ventilate the area well. I have heard that a solution of borax in water works too, but I am not sure of the mix. Anything that has mold on it should be removed and disposed of or the problem will come back and grow.

I would feel fine using the bleach in a room where my baby slept after airing the room well, I would have a problem with having mold in the room.

Thanks for suggestion. That is what I am going to have to do. I think that they are going to have to repair the wall even after I get it all cleaned off.

actually a lot of moms here have used tea tree with great success...seems to work better than bleach.

Danielle natural playthings uses it-and I think Alipoo was going to try it.

They both live in humid areas...

I think I'll try the tea tree oil then the bleach. When we had a leak in the front of the house I used tea tree oil to get the mildewy smell out of the carpet. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Just wanted to let you know that I did the tea tree oil two days in a row left the house with the kids both days so it could completly air out. And so far so good we are still going to replace the wall where the damage is but for know I have no signs or smells of mold. Thanks mamas for the suggestions.
