This picture shows the placement of the FOE. The blue line is the middle of the back of the neckline, notice the small tail of FOE to the left of the neckline. I start sewing about ¼" to the right of the blue line.

I'm almost back to the starting point here, this is where I stop stitching.

Here's a better look at the back. I prefer the look of the matte side of the FOE, so here the shiny side is the wrong side.

Now, put the right sides of the FOE together. If you're using FOE with a decorative edge, match up the edges.

Stitch the FOE, right sides together.

Trim close to the stitching line.

Here's the right side of the shirt before the second pass of stitching.

Fold the FOE over to the outside of the shirt.

Sew close to the edge.

Ta-da! The scallops even line up and everything (ignore the wet spot, I was just getting the blue marker off)! :D

That's definitely worth a big OOOOOH and AAAAHHHH. I've been applying self-binding from your post in the faq, and this helps with that too. I have 2 dresses down and 12 more to make so, I am eternally grateful!

OOOOH! Thanks so much for this sew-along. I just got some FOE and was nervous about trying it. This will really help. Also, this might sound weird, but you have beautiful fingers and fingernails. :)
