I would list what I do here in case some one was wanting a different routine or ideas about how to manage their housekeeping.

I get chore charts at http://www.tipztime.com and http://www.chartjungle.com

I set aside one room to concentrate on each day

Monday: LivingRoom
Tuesday: Kitchen
Wednesday:ComputerRoom
Thursday: Bathroom
Friday: Laundry Room
Saturday: Bedroom (the kids do their own even my almost 3 year old with mama's assistance of course)
Sunday: OFF

So with a weekly chart I do those chores daily which are like clean the sink, dishes, laundry, and some other little things

AS well as with the chart for each room I do the chores for that room having my kids (again even my 3 year old) assist. They do the dusting and other little chores like that and my eldest will do the dishes while the wee one rinses in the water before I place in dishwasher.

Saturday's I set aside for yard work and other misc. things and I have a project list as well. I list the projects that need to be completed, the cost, time, and expected date of completion. Like right now (we live in my parents home) but we maintain their home and they are currently having their floors redone so we are supervising this project. If trees need to be trimmed that would go on the projects list as well.

Sunday's we have off. This is just our day to be a family. --to rest to just be. In the past we have used this time to attend church -- but now it is just a family relax and hang day. I do not cleaning this day not even the daily chores (except for dishes)

I keep all of this in a binder "The Duggan Family Notebook" as well as copies on the doors or closets in paper protectors.

I don't stress if I don't get all of the duties down if I get the dishes and the laundry done in the day I am a happy gal!
