I am a lacto/ovo vegetarian and try not to eat meat based broths or stuff with gelatin. Are these three things considered vegetarian? Just curious...

No, definately not! Sorry! :(
You can find vegetarian bullion cubes at most stores. Gelatin is a tough one, though. Kosher gelatin is not vegetarian, either. I once made the mistake of thinking it was. Turns out it just means it's not made out of pig parts.

I am in NE Ohio-Canton, Ohio to be exact!
I didn't think so about the broths and gelatin. I feel bad when my mom or in-law announces that some dish is vegetarian by anouncing, "I used broth-no meat!". I learned to eat before I go. I especailly love it when they watch my kids and tell me that my DS had TWO hot dogs! I suppy tofu dogs now. I have had HAIN's vegetarian gelatin. I had to go to my health food store to get it but if you are jonesin' for jello it is a perfect match! I love HAIN products. I had vegetarian gravy (maybe even vegan) that tasted exactly like brown gravy-my DH actually ate it!
My dad is from Johnstown, POa but I think that's...east/central???
