what is wrong??????????
we just got this new dryer from Lowe's and man our last one died out so a new dryer would fix that problem right?

this stupid dryer has been drying the same load of clothes for 4 hours!!!!!!! what is wrong with it?

i mean we will take it back... but getting it out is the hardest part... i wish there was a way to make it dry.. anyone knows?
thanks

we had a bunch of lint build-up in the vent hose.

When you hooked up the new dryer did you check if the vent was clear of obstructions?

Hope you figure out what's wrong.

Did you clean out your vent hose? If it gets clogged, then it won't dry. You need to unattach it at vacuum the hose out! Make sure the vent to the outside is clear as well!

Call Lowes to come out. MUCH cheaper and easier!

if that doesn't do the trick it sounds like the heating element is bad. I would call lowes. GL!

Do you have a fuse box (as opposed to a circuit breaker)? In our old apt we did and the dryer one would start to die sometimes...and that is what would happen.

If it's a new dryer I'd also guess it's a clogged vent. But, don't just check next to the dryer....check next to where it leaves the house too.

This same thing happened to us and 2 guys came out with a STRONG blower. 1 guy stuck the blower hose in the duct at the dryer end and the 2nd guy stood outside to help all the lint get out (a TON came out).

Good luck!

Is it on a "fluff/no heat" cycle?

DH knocked ours to a no heat setting once. And with all the stuff piled on top of it I didn't see it. I thought we were out of gas. :o I felt like a moron after discovering that.

thank you mamas

the vent wasn't hooked up to the dryer... :o men can't live without them and can't eat them(did a mama on here say that)
anyway i called my brother and he came and hooked it up and got it working so it's FINALLY getting hot and the clothes are getting dry...

can't wait till next month eletric bill comes  stupid dryer. LOL 4 hours on each load of clothes, i wish i would have asked sooner...
