Bambi by Felix Salten.....it's very poetic and makes me cry every time I read it. (Not the Golden Book, lol)
Also, Better Times Than These by Winston Groom, author of Forrest Gump.
Floating Dragon by Peter Straub.

My guilty pleasure... Alfred Hitchcock presents the Three Investigators. I love these books but trying to complete my collection (there are 42) is starting to get expensive...darn ebay!

Of course, the Harry Potter series :)
