Does anyone know about this?

"Don’t forget that retailers like Kroger also sell giftcards to other stores as well. Lets say for example that I receive 1200
I can use that to get the 1200 in Kroger gift cards and then turn around and purchase gift cards for my favorite restaraunts as well as a single large visa gift card. ( I believe the admin fee for one is 3.95). Also, don’t forget that since you will have exceeded the 750.00 in one month on your Kroger plus card, you would then in turn be eligible for .50 off per gallon of gas. It would take some planning but one could really benefit."

I am wondering about Kroger offering .50 off gas? That would save us big time.

I've heard that if you take in your bank statement showing the IRS deposit they will accept that as well.
If I remember the last time the US govt sent checks out some stores did the same thing. Not with gc but with you bring you checks here and you get 10% off your stuff. I wonder if you go to Sears, and get a gc for Sears could you use the gc's to pay off a Sears card.

I've been watching my account with my fingers crossed but nothing yet.

I did also see that it says if you're owed back child support, that your ex's rebate will be taken to pay that off.

ya that current schedule puts us right back to where we were originally suppose to be with the deposit... if its not there tomorrow, then I'll have to make my monthly cc payment instead of just wiping it out. THEN wipe it out lol

either way, when it gets here I'll be happy

Man, that would be awesome! We don't qualify for the stimulus money, but I am owed a bunch of child support arrearages. I guess if I don't get his money, then that would mean he's over the income limit and I should file for a child support modification.

note it says "no later than" - so chances are it will be sooner - they're just doing a little CYA operation

Man, this is so confusing! I didn't get anything today. Wonder if that means it won't be till next Friday? Or do they do deposits throughout the week? I'm guessing we're in a later batch because we didn't file until April 15, although our refund hit the bank account last week.

It says throughout the week except on Thursdays.

We still didn't get ours. Our original date was the 9th. It's so confusing b/c some people shouldn't have theirs yet, but do and others don't that should. Grr! Government for you!

Got ours this morning, right when the original date said. Go figure....I think they really screwed up by telling everyone it would be distributed early.
