We're doing it!

I have been flip-flopping the past month about whether or not I'd bring Noah home, and I have finally decided for sure that we will. I am SO excited!

I haven't decided exactly when his last day will be. Maybe another week or so? He really likes his teachers and classmates and I want him to have a little bit of time to say goodbye. Parent-teacher conferences are this Thursday, so I'm going to decide by then so we can discuss it at the conference.

I'm not totally sure what we're going to be doing curriculum-wise. He is doing Singapore Math in school and liking it, so we will continue with that for sure.

Last fall, when we were homeschooling we used Christopherus and I really liked it, but I'm just not sure it's the best fit. I have a good friend who is using it with her 2nd grader this year and I am going to look her package over.

I did just order some things from Amazon- First Language Lessons 3, WRiting With Ease 1, and SOTW 1.

Oh, and we're also going to get Rosetta Stone's Greek program so he can keep learning Greek, and the rest of us can learn it too!

We'll be re-joining our Waldorf co-op, and that will probably be the highlight of my week!

I am SO excited, oh wait, I already said that

Noah wants me to add this guy here,

Yay!!

I'm so happy for you. I bet it feels good just to have made the final decision.

Yes, it really does! I'll feel even better, more settled, once we decide on his last day and I tell the school.

A is already home with me.
L will be home after our move in Dec.
I am a bit nervous..but just because it is unknown. I certainly know we are all capable. And the girls get along so well...AND I love having them home with me

Thanks you guys!

Linda, yay for you too! I forget where you are moving to. I know I read it in the thread when you said you were coming back to the states, but I can't recall.

I am so glad you made a decision you are all happy with.

I am using Christopherus 2nd grade and really recommend you look at your friend's copy. We are loving it. I am also doing a lot of storytelling with related crafts and math/writing practice inspired by how Donna laid out her saint and heroes block. It is working well.

Yeah, I can't wait to look at it. She has already loaned me the Saints and Heroes book and the Animal Legends book and I really like both of those.

Congrats on your decision!

This might be of help since you are using SOTW. Check out this yahoo group file section:

She has a lot of SOTW 1 freebies that are well worth the look.

So happy for you. We are on the verge of that decision as well.

Just in case Linad doesn't get back to this, she is moving to New Mexico.

Good luck with your decision too Bobbi Jo! I know it was a tough one for me. It kept me up at night, and that NEVER happens to me!
