Alternative LearningAre you a homeschooling mama? or maybe you unschool... or maybe you are interested in another alternative learning style? or maybe you don't have any idea what i am referring to?? this forum might just be for you! share your thoughts and ideas
any rec's on what to get? I want toplan out DDs work and holidays we will take and fieldtrips, etc.... a regulare planner, teacher planner, OL, something from rainbow....what? I am anxious to get things aritten down and locked into place
I make my own....with three kids schooling (plus a toddler), I couldn't find a plan book that met my needs with enough spaces to write. So, I create my own pages in Word, add in tabs and calendars, etc. and then go to Staples or Office Max to have the covers laminated and the whole thing bound together.
This is my second year of making my own and it's been fantastic--I was able to add in reading log pages for each kid; project & field trip overview pages, etc.

I have two planners, one for school and one for everyday life. Last year I bought one from the homeschool supply place, but hardly used it. This year I just got a plain one from Walmart. I could probably use both of them. We'll see!

I would be interested too I have been trying to make my own, but would love to see yours.
Me too me too! I had the 'perfect' planner for me and it is out of print now (I've been using it for 3yrs). I'm in a bit of a panic about it and have looked everywhere irl and online to find someone who might have more on their shelf- with no luck. I've tried to make my own in word and thus far its quite tedious and not very successful. I would LOVE to see yours!

I make my own, too. Last year I made one for just Hannah, but this year I did one for Hannah and Kali. Mary does her own.

I'll gladly share! It would be easy to adapt to someone else's needs by changing the titles of the columns, etc. It's all in Word Format....If you send me a quick email MamaAkins3 @ nc.rr.com, I will gladly send you the pages....it might be later this weekend before I can get to it though as we are busy with 4th of July plans!
I make my own weekly planner in excel. I would be happy to send it to you just PM me. If you can use Excel even slightly then you can modify it however you need.
I'm using a business planner dh got from my biodad. dh took the binder thing it came in and i stuck the pages in a binder from the thrift store (99 cents).
I use the weekly ones and stick drs appts, like that on the month page.
I also have graph paper and excell ones too, but it's because I don't stick with anything long enough to see if i like it. I just like making out a page rofl!
