WP seems like it mught be too babyish for a 9yo boy
KONOS?
Make my own (which my OCD brain would have a killer time doing )

WP goes all the way through high school level work. You just have to choose the right level for your ds. There are hands on activities in all the programs, but the older student activities veer away from paper crafts like those used in AW.

I've looked over KONOS (both the volumes and Konos in a box) throughly and had it on my shelf for quite a while. If you are a A-type personality, it will not work for you. It is very scattered and not cohesive. I absolutely love the concept of it and Jessica Hulcy for that matter. She is a wonderful and inspiring speaker if you ever have a chance to her her. But it is definitely for more creative types who can pull together stuff and be ok with not checking off a list.

still leaning towards k12....evan would be in 4th grade. i will look at sea and sky again.

I am also really digging the idea of letting him choose a monthly project ($20) to do.
