we got a great deal on a fieldtrip rate for our virtual academy and so we went skiing yesterday. This is def something we could not have done with his reg B&M elementary school.
DS went for the first time and had a blast. I now have a lil skiing buddy (eventho it will take some time before he can ski downhill without falling at least once). He had a blast....and lasted 3.5 hrs without a break (what a trooper). I asked him several times, but he wanted to go go go. I am so proud of my little man. He told me while we were going up the lift that ever since he heard me talk about how i went skiing as a child/teen, he was hoping him and I could go skiing someday.

Then i took him to a bigger slope.....he made it look pretty easy. Like it came natural to my little man.

But here and there he had some falls (not as many as I thought he would).

And in the end I even got to ski for 30 minutes just by myself. lol

It sure was. There was a group of traditional homeschoolers there too and they said they do this on a regular basis in the winter as PE. Gotta love it.
