Dental Hygiene!

What kind of routine do you have for your kid's dental hygiene?

It's so important to protect their soft enamel at an early age but sometimes it can be difficult to get any cooperation from them...

Thought this would be a good place to share thoughts, ideas and tips

Dh brushes each child's teeth just after pajamas and before sleep. I am lazier (and more far-sighted?). I use the one-minute hourglass (with purple sand )and brush one while the other brushes their own, then we switch. The little one gets an albeit poor brushing from me, longer from daddy who is better at this in my opinion. Even the eldest is not that great at brushing thoroughly, though, in my opinion, and she is the one with what seem to be the "weak" teeth. So I feel better with us still involved. I would love to brush their teeth twice a day, but no other time has worked. BTW they are 8, 5, and 2.

Okay, and as long as I am admitting what a slacker I feel like, although we keep starting it, we can't seem to get a routine down that includes flossing.

Yeah it can be really difficult to get a set routine in place especially with 3 LOs.. and just finding the time to help each one brush. But it's so important at that age... so its good that you're not giving up

Has your pediatric dentist mentioned trying ProNamel For Children to help her weak teeth? It's a new kid's toothpaste that actually helps re-strengthen enamel as a proactive measure to help prevent further erosion.

May be worth looking into or asking your dentist about...

I choose soft toothbrush for Kimi and I guide her on how she will brush her teeth. I'm telling her to brush not to hard.
