Night terrors or nightmares?

Our 3 almost 4 dd has been waking up and crying and curling up and talking nonsense. I hard to discibe but it's pretty scary because she's not Really awake, and doesn't remember what happend the next day.
I know i didn't discibe whats really happening very well but i was just wondering if anyone is farmliar with this type of night time activy?

That is the typical description of night terrors. Don't let it worry you. Generally, they outgrow them and, like you have seen, do not remember them at all. Some believe they are working out stresses from the day in the subconscience.
