honestly, lylly is about to turn 4, and 3 has been the year from hell. i am praying 4 will bring a calming
well, Zoey just turned 5 so i'm here. The boy I watch is 3 1/2 and he's amazing!
3 with Zoey was fun - a bit more "testing" but all around she was able to do so much more and it was a fun year

Branwyn, thank you for posting that. It really helps me feel a bit more normal because 3 has been incredibly hard so far. I'll take 2 any day over 3. Just an hour ago I was hoping that 4 will be easier.

i have talked to many mamas that had heard of the terrible twos but no one told us of the trying threes lol. with lyl 2 was a piece of cake, but 3? wowza. i mean i love that my lyl is an independent thinker and all but i wasnt prepared for the faerychilde that was to emerge at 3 years of age lol
heres to looking forward to the fabulous fours?! tee hee
alright now, this doesnt sound good (like i can go back, right?). 1 & 2 have been hard for us. cole is much more communicative now & i'm hoping that is a good thing!
OI, I can bairly remember 3 (maybe a good thing) but 4 has been a nightmare. 5 is going to rock though. DD is super high need, sensitive and extremely energetic. She at least seems to be calming down a little, or maybe I'm just getting better at wearing her out!

Veronica isn't as aggressive which is a good thing. We just turned 3 August 2nd and things are coming around. She's even mostly potty learned now--which is the biggest blessing.
The only thing that's been driving me nuts is the constant asking of questions, "But why, Mama?"
AHHHHHH!

Well, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. Three has been a nightmare so far! Where oh where, has my lovely son gone??LOL I'm desperately seeking 4 yrs of age (only 11mos to go! LOL).

3 was good overall, although 3 1/2 was harder than the first part of the year. So far, we've had a month of 4.. and it seems to involved a lot of stamping of ones feet, crossing of ones arms and screaming at one's mother "YOU ARE SOOOOOOO MEAN!" - LOL.
Lindsey got really argumentative around 3 1/2.. it was like she thought she'd figured out enough of the world to be considered an adult.. and was really pissed off she was still a child.
2 1/2 has been hell with Josh, so I'm looking forward to 3.
My ds is 5 now and is *extremely* active (both physically and imagination) and talking nonstop ~ much like the way I remember him being at 3, except he has gotten much more argumentative over the past 2 years. I am still exhausted at the end of the day, but so happy. You have so much fun to look forward to ~ really!

Lydia had a stretch between 3.3 & 3.6 (or so) where she was so violent we thought there might be something wrong with her. Fortunately it passed, as does much of their aggrevating behavior, and for the most part she's fine now. She can still throw the most amazing dramas. Almost 4 is bringing an ability to be reasoned with that we're enjoying. I'm hoping for a much better 4!

So the issues coming up with Liam (turned 3 in June) might be just as much the age as the fact that Daddy deployed less than a month ago? Here's to 3. <raising my glass> LMAO
