christmas presents

I saw a Christmas thread on the market board and it got me thinking...what am I going to get my 3 1/2 yo this year? I want to keep it simple...maybe 3 toys, some books, and some clothes or other things that she really needs. I went way overboard last year and some of her gifts she STILL hasn't played with! I could actually wrap them up and re-gift them to her LOL! Also, our new baby will only be 3 months old so any ideas for him or her? I have to get the baby somethings or else our daughter will think Santa forgot the baby!

So far here are my ideas:

A Marbleworks playset. I've seen them on Ebay cheap.

A bunch of Little Critter books. SHe loves this character and I am currently winning an auction for 30 of them on Ebay. Will post on market board if I lose auction.

Some leggings and tops for preschool

Twin princess bed sheets

Folkmanis puppets * already purchased and stocked away

Stocking:

New toothbrush

Washable markers

Hair pretties

socks

I just want to let you know if you are looking for any Discovery Toys, I am a consultant and offer all amity mamas the same price I pay.

As a side note, would your 3 1/2 year old put the marbles in her mouth? Just another thing to consider, would she keep them up and away from baby when it starts exploring?

Didnt even think about the fact that they could be rolling around for teh baby to get into! Good point! Elizabeth doesn't put anythign in her mouth now. My sister has a marbleworks set at her house and she loves it hence the idea. But hmm...have to consider the fact that there will be another babe in the house. I suppose it won't matter initially but she'd have to only play with it when baby isn't in the same room in a few months....

How much is the cost of the marbleworks set from DT?

The catalog cost is 29.95 for the starter set and 49.95 for the deluxe set. We also have a Castle Marbleworks that is 36.99 and has larger "marbles" and is for ages 24 mos to Kindergarten age.
