Cute toddler words and phrases

Josie (17 months) is currently obsessed with her "cahn-yey"... that is, crayons.

She also likes to say "ooooohh-kay" in a very dramatic and distinct way.

And she loves to point out whenever anyone -- or any cats -- are "running!" If they're running extra fast, they are "running-ing-ing". And she suddenly started spinning around in place while saying, "round, ah-round, ah-round." So cute to hear her saying new things everyday.

What are your little ones talking about these days?

Everything. And it is just so funny. she says, "Hi!" to everything.

Every morning starts with: Hi Mama! Hi Trees! Hi Bear! (stuffed bear) Hi Nunny! (our cat Sunny) Hi Aya! (Kaya) and so on...

She tells us 30 times a day that our woodstove is hot. "Dat's HOT!" And 30 more times that it is cold out. "Brrrr, Dat's cold!"

When the girls play Webkinz and they win, she says, "Yaaaaaay! Fiiiive?" and wants everyone to give her a high five.

Lots of things have long, drawn out phrases. If the dog is at the door, she says, "Goggy's out siiiiiiiiiiiiide?"

Our girlies are so close in age, huh? Every day is so much fun.

journey is past the toddler age (just turned 3), but she came up with this since she started talking.

she says "moo moo" for "more". it's so cute. even now that she is using real good sentences, its funny to hear "mommy, i want moo moo lunch" or whatever it is she wants more of.

These are fun to read. Evy is so funny. Lately her favorite foods are animal crackers - mammals, bananas - nanos, and cheese - cheyes and a lot of her conversation today has been revolving around these, lol. She is also telling me "Dat's ot!" a lot pointing at the stove. She loves calling her sisters when they are upstairs, "Nana! (Hannah) Bobo! (Sophia) and Shoo Shoo! (Juliette, we call her Ju Ju, and that's the closest she can get). Other current phrases are "Das miiiiine" and she has to have her favorite baby doll, "Baby", and her favorite blankie which she calls "Ah-mee" everywhere she goes.

One of the cutest things (to me) is that she won't say yes. If you ask her any yes or no question, she always answers no, even if it means yes. Like, I'll ask her, "Do you want a banana for your snack?" and she says, "No" all sweet (a real no is a NO!) and so I'll say, "Yes? Yes, you do?" and instead of saying yes, she'll say mmmmmhmmmmm.

My husband is away at school for the next 2 months and she has been talking to him on the phone when he calls and it is so cute because she will just jabber away telling him a ton of things that no one can understand, but it is very important to her. And when she is done, she hugs and kisses the phone.

My favorite though is when she wants to nurse, "I wan nummies, peeeeeeeeez!"

Such cute little girlies! I love hearing about the slightly older ones, too -- to see what we have to look forward to.

Josie won't say anything to an actual person on the phone yet. She jabbers into her play phone (and the television remote), but clams up if she hears a voice on the other end. Catherine, Evy sounds so precious hugging and kissing the phone with her Daddy. So sweet!
