Yes... DS slept through the night for 2 weeks, but that was it
What a blissful 2 weeks that was! Alas, all good things come to an end...
We had some random throwing up issues, and a lot less eating for a couple of weeks - and my hunch is that has been the main reason for the sleeplessness all along. He's a skinny lad after all - off the weight charts in the wrong direction, but at least he gets it honest!
It all started with 8 wakeups/night at 6 months - and I didn't know any better, but he was becoming a night nurser b/c he was so distracted during the day. And he's never really been much of an eater, but it seems that the more he eats, the less wakeups we have. Like yesterday - he actually ate 3 real meals, plus a couple of snacks in between, and he slept all night long. Today he didn't eat so good, and already has been up twice. And now when he wakes up, he's not crying, he's not calling for mommy or daddy, he simply whines "milk, milk, milk!" And then drinks down 8 oz or so when we give him a sippy cup, and then he's happily back to sleep.
We were so used to waking up at night with him that it wasn't such a huge deal anymore; but after that blissful 2 weeks, I really wish we could find a reliable solution.
