I feel so scattered...

Everything is broken into minutes. Some days I feel like just sitting and doing nothing... but there is no doing that either. I realise that I am on my cycle and that is tainting my idea of what feels ok and what doesn't... but I keep thinking "Well, if I had a few hours I would do this and this.." and I never end up doing it. Like I have time to make the list and start a project, but not get it done. So I have a million projects in my house that need finishing. You know?

I am doing this alone for the moment. And I have cub scouts (which I forgot tonight), Alex and Cyan's school functions (which have been numerous lately since the weather is getting nicer), and Logan nursing (which has been troublesome for the last two days because he is balking at the taste) and I only get a few minutes here and there to do anything else. I usually end up here because I start by checking something I actually NEED to check and then end up stuck on things I don't need to check for the next 1/2 hour and them bam... my time is gone. I feel like I need to get organized, but that doesn't help because in the amt of time it takes to get organized, I have used up all my time to actually get anything DONE. I have tons I want to do, tons I want to get out of the house, tons I want planted in the garden, tons I want cleared out, tons I want sewn. All I do is make lists. Nothing ever gets done on them. I have 5 quilts (5!!!) that are at least 3/4 of the way done. All the way cut out, two are even put together, the entire top... all I need to do is stitch around the appliques and they will be ready to back and tie and be done... but do I have the time? NO!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Breathing...

Ok, after this deep breath, here is the place I tell you that my dh has promised to help this weekend if I would let him have a game night. And he came good on that two weeks ago, so I can hope that it will happen again. My dd is gone next week and Alex is in full day school (this week is p/t confrences so Cyan is out, and Alex is in half days) so there will be time then to get other things done if I can keep my happy tush off the computer!

I can hope. Perhaps if I set the timer.... no... my own brain won't let that work. I don't know... if you dont' see me next week, that means I am getting things DONE... and thank god. Becuase I am not a halfdo'er... I hate people like that. Having something half done drives me nuts.

I am one of those people who can't just vacuum... I sweap, then vacuum, then take the carpet head off the vacuum and hose vacuum next to the washer, dryer, fridge, under the cuboards in the kitchen, around the kids beds, behind the computer desk, around the table legs, I do it ALL...

On the one day every two weeks when I find the time to get it done. LOL!

Here I am again, Val, saying, "I'm right there with ya." Actually, I just visited a good friend of mine yesterday whose baby is 17 days old and we were confirming eachother with understanding that this is just part of having a new baby in the house.

After nearly 3 mos. of things not getting done like they usually do, even though the house has been periodically picked up, etc., I think my house is dirtier than it's ever been (probably since Molly was a newborn, anyway). And, basically, all I can do at the moment is maintain, not get anything really clean, ect. Maybe when Reagan is 6 or 7 months old and wants down...LOL.
