Companion gardening...

I am trying something new this year. I am doing full on companion gardening. I have been reading up on it, and quite a few things I did already, but many I had not even thought of! So now my there is spinich all around my Eggplant plants, lettuce seeds in the strawberries, onions and leeks in with my lemon cucs and tomatillios, and there will be Basil with my tomatos as well! I think it will look really cool and I have a feeling that it will work out well too!

Some other things I have done is FINALLY put ornamentals with my other, more practical plants. lol... I have always been too practical, and this year I needed some color... so along the back of my newest bed I put Daliahs. And then I sprinkled some Zinnas along with the lovage, borage, winter savory, and salad burnett. In the front of that bed is the pineapple sage and the margorum (sp?). I am planning on getting a bird bath to put in the middle and have a nice small stump "saving" the place. The variety in my garden this year is exciting... I found the seeds from last year along with the ones that I go this year and have been going crazy!

Wohoooooo! It is finally time to plant!!

Love Val
