Me too! Erik is about the same age, 2 mid-November. When I got pg, he was nursing 6-8 times a day or so (but was mostly night-weaned, though sometimes he did when he was teething) It started hurting pretty bad when I was about where you are now....and only got worse

But then, right around the 12 wk mark, when nausea and fatigue left, it got somewhat better. my milk is gone too, has been for at least a month, and my supply dropped almost immediately. It still hurts a lot, but if I can make it the first 5 seconds, it normally gets better.
Oh, I forgot...I gently encouraged Erik to nurse less when it started hurting so badly...I would offer other things first when he asked to nurse (playing a game, going outside, eating if it were near mealtime, water, etc...) and only nursed him if he persisted. We also perfected the "one more minute" technique...that helped a lot, as he's pretty good at it unless he REALLY needs to nurse, in which case I just grit my teeth. He now nurses at nap time (to sleep and when he wakes up in his nap to get back to sleep--he's not the best napper, and he'll wake up 2-4 times), and first thing in the morning (I'm lazy too--he wakes up between 4:30-5:30, and the only way I can get him to sleep until 6, my preferred wake-up time, is to nurse him back to sleep...) I don't see that leaving though...unless he cuts out his nap and I get used to a 5 am wake up call!
it's pretty cute, though--he'll negotiate if he's not done after one minute, ask for 5 more minutes

And if he's feeling out-of-sorts, he'll go climb into his bed and ask to nurse...oh, that's something someone told me, that the hardest part for her was the uncomfortable feeling she got with her nursling in a cradle hold to nurse. Before I was pg, it was virtually the only way I nursed him (just worked well for us...), so I gradually transitioned to only nursing when side-lying.
Sorry, this got long! HTH, and Congrats!
