Could your family "make it" on minimum wage?
Here's the deal:
2 people working full time; defined as a 40 hr week.
Standard month of 4 weeks
no removal of taxes etc. (for simplicity sake)
assume all child care is free
assume no government assistance
Either do your own math using your states minimum wage.

Or use the current Fed. Min Wage of $5.85 per hour which turns out to be $1872 per month based on the above criteria.
Could your family pay for your
-house?
-car?
-credit cards?
-utilities & food?
-extras (private school, savings, vacations etc)?
