We have always made sure the kids know how to do it (which is really fun when your kid gets mad that you wont let them do somehting & they decide to call 911 on you
) - now we have to do it yearly for our foster license. Complete fire drill & all. we also have to have an escape plan w/phone #s & such posted - very thorough & a good idea!
