ds (15 months) goes to a large corporate childcare center. I was really hesitant about it initially, but what I like is that the rooms are all videotaped, the children really do have a good amount of individualized attention, and I'm not even remotely worried about his well-being.
What I don't like is that - for him - he hates the drop off. He so obviously wants to be with me. I do like that they hold him when he is sad. And, I know (cuz I've hung around outside the door) that he stops crying as soon as I'm out of site.
dd (4 years) is in an AWESOME home-based montessori school (it is absolutely a school; it just happens to be in the basement of the teacher). She loves it so much that she told me that she thinks I need to work three days because she wants to go more than two days. I, however, am not ready for her to be away from me three days a week. That will come next year.
