It's been a somewhat difficult time for Desi. He loves us and is already deciding what his new middle name will be, but he is also sad that he will never live with his mother again. We have assured him that she will remain in his life (we have a very good relationship with her and have told her that she can continue to see him as long as she keeps her life going in the right direction).
