Musical boobs and literally BREAST feeding
Okay so Trinity's new thing while she is nursing is to suckle a little,
start talking with my nipple in her mouth (just baby jibberish) then
suckle some more. This isn't so bad, but what is is that for the past
week, she's been latching on, suckling for a sec or two (I think she is
impatient waiting for the letdown wich isn't as fast as it used to be,
she's 15mo now) and then asking me for milk. I tell her to "drink it" and
she'll suckle a little more. But what's werid is that she then pulls off
and latches to another part of my breast. Two or three different spots
before returning to the nipple. I haven't said anything to her until
today because I didn't want it to become one of those things she
continually does *because* I said "No." But today I told her,"There's no
milk there, drink from here," and showed her my nipple (pointed to it).
She responded with a very firm,"No." She does this on both breasts.
Could it just be that my letdown and flow alltogether is not as strong as
it used to be and she's impatient? That's what I'm thinking... She is also
going for the oppoiste breast before she even gets a letdown on the first
(I can still feel when my milk lets down). I don't let her play musical
boobs though, you finish the one you start. She has always been a one
breast girl, from birth, never would take both in one sitting. A couple
time I have allowed her to have the opposite breast when she *finishes* on
the first. Probably just a phase, but I thought I'd run it past ya! TIA!
