a few things--

--nystatin is mixed w/ a sugary substance to make it more palatable for the little ones, which is fine, but yeast thrives on sugar... nystatin is usually the doc's first line of defense, but from what i've heard, it rarely works.
--it may be "systemic"-- it was for me, which is why dd kept getting it back over and over again. it's a good idea, anyway, to incorporate probiotics into your and the baby's diet-- through yogurt w/ *live cultures* (it's gotta say that on the label) and thru acidophilus-- the good kind, which must be refrigerated.
--rainbow lights makes a food-based "candida cleanse" vitamin which you can take for a month to try to rid your system.
--use grapefruit seed extract, too, every day; e-mail branwyn or just do a search on gse on the boards to get more info re: dosage, etc.
--cut back or eliminate entirely the "baddies"-- white flour, all forms of sugar, simple carbs, even fruit, if you can't get rid of the yeast.
--the gentian violet will work to "push back" the yeast for now, but if it's systemic, which it may be if your dd has had it for a month, it will return.

good luck!

I agree! Nystatin never worked for us. I think all the sugar in it made it worse! Best wishes!
