Nyastatin never worked for us either.
I agree with the PP - GV only helps to push the thrush back for now, but it is not a permanent solution.
If you are suffering from thrush, it sometimes takes a life style change to get rid of it. Cutting all sugar, white flour and such from your diet + add probiotics!!

I had been fighting thrush for a LONG time until I started a new treatment. COmplicated, but it works!!

This is what I have been doing and it has been working!!
1. GV twice a day (morning and evening) on the nipples and baby's mouth
2. Rinsing the nipples after EVERY feeding with a mixture of 1 part water + 1/3 part vinager
3. Then putting some Grapefruit Seed Extract mixed with water in a cotton ball and applying it to the nipples (NEVER put it in baby's mouth because is AWFULLY bitter!!).Don't put GPS extraxt on the nipple on the times you use GV.
4. Applying a VERY sparse amount of Lotramin fungi cream on the nipples
5. Changing the nursing pads after every feeding.
6. Letting the nipples air dry and go braless as much as possible
7. Get some sun light on the nipples - it kills the yeast.
8. Take 6 capsules of odorless Garlic supplements every day
9. Taking 6 capsules of Acidophilus and Bifidus pills every day
