I am leaving my girls with some good friends for the weekend and my husband and I are going hiking in Mississippi and then camping in another town here in Louisiana. The campsite is $10, so that will be a cheap trip.
We are borrowing a tent from a friend. I also just got the Entertainment book for $12 and in it are some buy 1 get one free dinners in the town we will be staying at. One is a nicer place, the other is a bar and grille, so all in all we have that covered too.
The town we are camping in is very historical, with lots to see.
I thought about doing a B&B, but that is too pricey for us this year.
Oh, and I also have a bottle of cognac that I inhertited when my grandmother died 9 years ago. It is probably close to 50 years old now. We saved it specifically for our 10th anniversary.
We will do that as well as a spread of meats, cheeses, and sparkling ciders.
