I posted on my facebook, but in case you missed it... I got in to grad school, Communication Studies, to become a Speech-Language Pathologist!!! I'm so thrilled right now. I will start Fall 2010. It's a distance learning program. Summer 2011, I'll spend 5 weeks on campus (Kentucky, here I come. :lol, but otherwise it's all online, with local clinicals. My job counts as one, thankfully. I will graduate Summer 2012. I do have to make up 2 deficiencies--one of them is annoying, I really shouldn't have to do it. But I don't' have a syllabus anymore, Northwestern doesn't keep them back that far, so I have to make it up. I'm so excited that I hardly care, though. Yes, I'll have to pay OOP for two classes in a summer session. BUT, I can take them online, it's not too bad, just $600 per course, we have money from our tax refund to pay for it, it should be a nice easy transition back into the learning mindset, I get to start out with classes in the summer when I'm not working, making me more ready for the fall, and I probably will learn from them anyway, even if I shouldn't *have* to take them. So, about to enter the crazy life of working full time, full time student, 3 kids, a husband, a new house... we are so glad we bought our house that is 2 blocks from work and where the boys will be at school next year--and I'm so glad that in spite of my busy-ness, I will be seeing them every day while I'm *at* work (and Anders should be getting speech therapy from me, too. ).
