I decided in Mid November that making the kids dolls would be a good idea. :p I made 6 Waldorf dolls and their clothes, working only after the kids were in bed in the evening. So as soon as they were upstairs, shortly after 8 pm, until about midnight or 1 am every morning (especially the last couple of weeks), but I did it!
So here is my first attempts at these dolls (they were all made simultaneously, so I didn't have much opportunity to change what I was doing or learn along the way.)

I made dresses for the girls that match this fabric.

Awesome! They look great! They remind me of the dolls my mom used to make for us.

I used this kit from Magic Cabin. It came with patterns for a few outfits. I also bought a clothes pattern set from Weir, but ended up not using it. I was able to modify the pattern from Magic Cabin to do everything that I wanted (plus with the time crunch...I made all of the outfits after kids were in bed this week...it was nice to know what I was doing since it was the same thing over and over. LOL) The only one that is a little different is "Marisol", in the skirt. Otherwise, the dresses, shirts and blouses are all the same pattern. The sweater, I modified the shirt pattern.

They're beautiful! What a huge accomplishment. That's a ton of work for after bedtime and in just a month's time. Dang. wow.

You did a fantastic job!!! These dolls will be great fun now, but they will be one of those gifts that you children will probably save due to how special these dolls are. (and maybe grandchildren will play with these very dolls someday!!!!!)

    Way to go!
