It looks like our peach tree is going to be covered in blossoms this year, which must mean PEACHES!!! Yay!

We haven't had any in 3 seasons so I am stoked!

oh Beth, I am so jealous! peaches!!!!

we just planted our first peach and two apricot trees last week. If we get fruit from those every three years and it takes 3 years to start bearing, let's see, that means it will be just about forever till we enjoy homegrown peaches and apriots, right?

    I'm downright peachy jealous.

    congrats!

Congratulations. We have cherry blossoms for the first time ever - 3 years I think - and are very excited too.

Those Japanese beetles are the worst! I just found a yucky grub when I was turning over my garden the other day. Do you know anything that works for them other than taking them off manually?

Other than traps, I haven't found a way besides nasty chemicals. So we use traps! :)

I planted a peach tree a long time ago.

The first time it had fruit was around year three and it had one, perfect peach.

Now it is an established tree and sometimes has up to 500.

They all ripen the same week...lol....and we eat them, freeze them, give them to people and many rot on the ground.

    Enjoy your tree.

(We have an apricot tree entering into its 2nd big year this summer too)
