It's probably a good thing we don't have Ikea because I probably would not be able to control myself. :eyes:

My sil lives in Atlanta where they have one and every time I tell dh we need to go visit her, he says no because we don't have a truck to bring back everything I would want to buy.

Wow, I'd like those drawers too. Our closest Ikea is near Dallas, but I may be going there this summer :) I really liked the bento site too, thanks for the link.

No kidding... but I think it is like the weekly prep for dinner. You know? Fill four sauce bottles must be similar to filling 20. lol...

I have a drawer that holds all my bento/lunch box stuff now... Alex uses it daily, Cyan and I only use it once a week on fridays when we do our weekly field trips. It all has just gotten tossed into a drawer... so the little stuff (which of course, makes the lunches the most fun!) get lost, and I don't do them near as often. So something like that drawer system will be great, esp if I can put some of our muffin tins and stuff in there too...

And to think, I completely got rid of plastic three years ago. lol...

I don't get it. I don't have that many little pieces, maybe enough to fill one snack/sandwich ziploc or one plastic box. I would think one drawer and a ziploc would work nicely. Her under cupboard and over micro storage containers allover looks cluttered to me. To me its like asking for a mess when one kid goes and tries to get some little picks out or fake-o grass.

I was thinking of combining the bento stuff with muffin tins, and sprinkles, etc. I have these little things too... and always just clutter in my tea cupboard. Besides... it looks like clutter, but organized clutter. Entirely different animal. I don't think I can get away from the clutter look in this house anymore. It is just impossible. :p

I don't want to get into bento. I don't want more plastic stuff in my life. We have sort of similar IKEA drawers for art supplies...it's a freestanding box with three levels of drawers though. Has lasted a long time (maybe 6 years?) considering it's a thin wooden box and has been moved everywhere and used by kids.
