I know many religions of antiquity were matriarchal but...not anymore.

I am completely ignorant, but it seems like women were too busy raising children, cooking, surving etc to receive revelation from a higher power. And I don't "count" the Mary of Christianity because she was a young girl, and had no choice in having Jesus. What girl at 12-14 has a voice considering the situation, kwim?

I am hoping this post will educate me. I do not mean to offend. It seems that religion is formed by men, that is all. Please educate me! I am lost!

I don't have a religion for you, but Ann Lee founded the Shakers. They were Christian, but they were way more egalitarian than most Christian churches of their time:

Interesting question! I hadn't thought of it in those terms. I tend to think of religion as the reason that we have wars, but then that tends to be man, also.

I did find this on Wikipedia.
Nakayama Miki was the founder of Tenrikyo, which may be the largest religion to have a woman founder. Ellen G. White was instrumental to the founding of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and is officially considered a prophet by Seventh-day Adventists.[9] In particular, White's biblical commentaries and other writings are often considered inspired or even infallible. Mary Baker Eddy was the founder of the Christian Science movement.[10]

The Foursquare denomination was started by a woman, Aimee Semple McPherson. It's a denomination of Christianity though, not a religion.
