I would be greatful if you took the time to organize something. We would definitely be interested.

I would like to a simple seed germination project. I will send supplies needed to start a seed germinating in a zip loc taped to your window. I will include something fun to record growth everyday. And directions of course.

    I'll do it!

Where is the list of things to make/bag choices?

I remember peeking at a website for the other thread...

    What a great idea.

    where's the sign up list?

I will make magnet boxs for the older ones.
(I just went to the teaching supply store to buy magnets. I couldn't afford the horseshoe style 8.95 ea. but I did buy some that are a tad bit biggr than a domino.)

I can also make Lacing / sewing cards in boy or girl themes. I bought a bunch of shoe laces at a going out of business sale that will work well for this project.

Just let me know so I can get started.

Ok, here's how i think it would be best to do this.

    1. I think the more the better. unless anyone has objections i'd rather not cap how many of us participate

    2. EAch person can choose something they wish to make. use someone else's idea or your own describe it in your post to this message (if you have already posted, feel free to just edit your post to keep number of posts managable)

    3. you would all then send me a package with your set of x number of gallon sized ziplock baggies filled with one set of activity per bag. You can be as elaborate as you would like or simple.

Any other thoughts ideas or concerns?
here's the post where i got the idea from

Hi, I am very excited about this and I want to make sure I've got it right. Once I find a ziploc activity to make I will make one for each person that has signed up? So then I will get that many different ones back?

I'd love to join, too :D

    edited to add my proposal:

My sister is (who is younger and more ambitious than me) is going to help me. She is working as a nanny and wants to share my activity stash. She already "checks out" toys and books from our house to take to work, so why not this, too?

Anyway, she's an art major and loves fairy tales, so we were thinking of doing a felt board idea we found in a preschool make believe activity book for teachers. We'd include a large rectangle of felt and interfacing characters and props to stick to the felt. The story she wants to do is Goldilocks and the 3 bears. I am planning to also include an extra sheet of interfacing so the children can create their own characters and props. The interfacing can be drawn on with markers and the characters cut out with scissors. Imaginitive play and art are as important as "book learning" in preschool, so I thought this would be a neat, independent learning activity. The extra piece could also be used for something a little more traditionally "educational" like making alphabet letters (1"x1" squares, each with a letter written on it) that can be strung together into words.
