    This is getting old...help

Ok girls I need some input from those of you on the murena. I posted some time back that I was having pg symtoms on and off and concluded it was my IUD causing it. Well they are back but with a couple of added symptoms and I'm wondering if anyone else has these and about how long they last because they are driving me up a wall and really playing with my mind. I know the sane thing would to be to just test but then I generally get my hopes up and then get dissapointed and I can't handle that right now. I know it's just got to be the IUD but I want this stuff to go away not get worse but it seems this gets worse every couple of months apparently.

The old symptoms are sore breasts, nausia, short bursts of hunger with longer stretches of not being hungry or just plain sick, tiredness and increased egg white cm a bit ago. Now in addition to the old symptoms I 't usually get sick at (I generally have a particularly strong stomache) and I'm peeing constantly though my input isn't increasing.

I've got about one more year left on my IUD and I don't want to spend it always guessing if I'm pg especially with all the tests I have to have run. So please tell me someone else deals with this and it gets better.

Oh and since I can't drive and there is no Dollar Tree near me to walk to I don't have access to cheap tests and I don't want DH to know so I can't ask him to get them. Man I want to be able to drive again.

    Ask DH.

    Really.

He is your partner. Communication with him in life is critical.

Keep no secrets (about health concerns included).

Heck. It could be a bit of fun to mention you need him to pick one up. Make it a fun request.

He is your man, dang it.

Ummm... How long ago did you have the Murena put in? Was it before or after your fainting started?

At least you spoke with him and tried to communicate. Good.
Why does he refuse to get you any?

I've had the murena for 4 years now. I think my very first fainting spell was after it but they didn't start getting real bad till about 4 months ago.

As for not buying them, he's embarrassed. lol.

    LOL on the embarrassment.

Men can be such whimps about certain issues.

Another man might go in and buy them and say "Ya, I mighta knocked her up."

Amazon and eBay both have cheap bundles, where you can get a lot of pgy tests, or ovulation tests, or some of one and some of the other. My dh couldn't buy them irl either. I *wish* he'd be the "mighta knocked her up" guy, at least sometimes. [ wink smilie ]

Anyway, amazon is where we got ours when we were ttc.

And, even if it came on 4 months ago it could still be the mirena which has that warning all over it. [ head banging into wall smilie ]

And, this might be too private, and you might have said and i forgot, but could they take it out and give it however long for your body to normalize after the iud removal to see if it's that? I had to have one in for a while because they were doing some other stuff and fiddling with medicine and doing tons of tests and some of them would have been bad for an early pregnancy - but it ended up all mostly okay in what was wrong with me. But w/o the right dr looking at it, it took forever for them to figure it out. So in that I feel for you.

    Re: This is getting old...help

I've wanted it out since I've done some reading on it but they won't and my insurance cover it and we can't afford it otherwise. I'm trying to find a way to manage it. I don't go back to my OB/GYN though until June.

Thanks for the Amazon idea. I'll look into it imediately. Since I don't know if I'm pg or not I haven't wanted to take a lot of my meds and such and it's been real hard on me.

And let me just say this. Having a weak stomache when you are potty training is not a good thing. I couldn't even manage to get the laundry ready without gagging. Everytime I take him to the bathroom I get sick. I want my strong stomache back.

Lie! Tell the docs that you're having pain down there, and you think the Murena is causing it.
