Re: This is getting old...help
That is weird they're being closed-mouthed, but possibly if they know your history they *could* be looking for a way to say the iud removal is needed, medically. Given my own weirdness and how health-care and insurance is, I've done the dance of "but I've been on x pill, it does nothing for me" more than I like, and it sucks that you have to be on it for months before they agree and will fill out the form. I'm sure there's a reason, like someone could want a more expensive allergy pill for something and claim some other allergy pill doesn't work for them, but honestly? Really? I lie like a kid. Really, it's sad. "Noooo, I wasn't the one who did that . . . why, is it broken?"
I think sometimes the power people will check you for free. They do that here sometimes, or a few other agencies here do too, I'm not sure they're all free but I'd do some researching online using your city or state or zipcode. I only know after the fact from some things I've said that have horrified others. I mean, I can't say for absolutely sure it was toxic mold, but the house had a lot of mold in it and that's not good even if it's not the toxic whats-it-called kind. Kwim?
You should be able to remove the faux panel things from your windows. I'd be afraid to break the glass, but if you look at the window closely you might see how they were put in. A kids play silk makes a nifty allergy bandana, fwiw.

Re: This is getting old...help
That is good news
I can't help but wonder if it's related to your fainting too. Just because the timing isn't right doesn't mean it couldn't be it, right? Hopefully that's enough to convince the doc it NEEDS to come out so you won't have to pay! Charlotte wife to my hunky Nick

Re: This is getting old...help
I need updates. Hopefully it's something good, not something scary. I still think your blood pressure could be involved. Have they looked at that? Or diabetes? Idk, I'm just worried. ((hugs))

Re: This is getting old...help
sorry for not updating lately. Sorry to say I hit rock bottom and haven't been in the mood to updated.
Had an U/s yesterday. apparently they didn't find anything scary as they didn't call the dr. right away but said they should have the report by Friday so I don't know anything there.
As for the dizzyspells my dr just said they are Psychogenic and to see my shrink. So basically I'm crazy. I did see my psychiatrist pa and she doesn't agree with the dx but because i've lost my medical card and cant afford any more testing at this time and I'm not quite stable atm she wants to wait to talk to my gp about further testing to find a physical reason for my spells. she thinks I need a tilt table test at the very least. So I'm back to waiting. In the mean time I'll just keep passing out and doing things like passing out ont the stairs and falling down them.
Sorry if this is a bit disjointed and doesn't make much sense but there is just a lot going on right now.Singing and crafting SAHM to 3 little ones and one :halo:

Re: This is getting old...help
Really.
Um.
Wow.
I will give you that yes, there are fundamental differences in the sexes. This is true.
However, if I were a woman doctor, suggesting to a male patient, that his fainting spells were all in his pretty-boy face [meaning he had mental problems] and that she should take some whatever pamprin would be for a dude . . . .
This is assuming the dr who's calling you crazy was a dude though.
I'll give you that people [of either gender] can undergo stress [of many and assorted sources] and faint [even to falling down stairs] but this is so beyond redonculous you'd better be praying that your malpractice is payed up. Repeated fainting episodes for this length of time warrent investigation of a deeper level not the brush off tests you're doing.
Can you find out how much of your chart you're due? Is Hippa federal or state? [medical privacy etc] I swear there was a read/ammend clause in there, and a decent digital camera can take pics that if you're careful are almost as good a scanner/copier [and would be free, because some places want to charge you for copy 'fees' ]
in any case i'm trying to turn my righteous anger into all the hugs I can muster for you

Re: This is getting old...help
Thanks ladies. It's very frustrating. I spent all day yesterday barely able to stand up because I was having hundreds of little "spasms"/dissorientations or whatever you want to call them. Most just made it hard to see straight or walk straight but a couple just about took me to the ground. DH refuses to beleive (and I agree with him) that that isn't caused by a physical reason. He says maybe it's a combo of the two but he beleives there is definitely a physical reason to my problem.
Ducko... Yes it's a guy dr and usually he's much more compasionate and thourough, even my advocate commented on that. He was rather tactless when giving the diagnosis as well. which is probably one of the reasons I spiraled (although there were other factors at play as well).
But until I can get my Medical Assistance back (if I can even get it back) I can't afford any more testing. Last night I broke down because everything was just too much for me. It was such a beautiful day yesterday and I couldn't hardly do anything with my kids because I was so "sick" with my spells. My poor kids are the ones suffering and in more ways than one, but that's another story.
Today I have a migraine and although the spells have eased they are still there so again I have to take it easy on this gorgeous day when i could be getting so much done and playing with my children. So the depression sets in again and I go back to cutting. And before you get horrified, I'm trying to control it. My psych knows about it and is adjusting my meds accordingly but it's hard to pull out of the spiral. I know I'll be ok eventually it's just hard right now.
Sorry didn't mean to tangent off onto that. Oh well, Someone just had an potty training accident so I need to go clean that up. I'll check in later. Thanks again for all of your concern.Singing and crafting SAHM to 3 little ones and one :halo:

Re: This is getting old...help
I forget, you already had a really thorough ent work up right? Tons of bloodwork? I can remember those little sparkly lights from being pregnant and reading they're sometimes caused by a few diff things but I haven't slept in like two days and am fending off a migraine too [must be in the air lately, dang] so I can't remember what [besides making a baby, something about blood flow] the studies/books said could cause those . . .
And your eyes are fine right? No glaucauma or that other thing they look at the back of your eye for? [brain something or other i think]
Okay, baby awake, post more later . . . ((feel better))The One-Armed Mother

Re: This is getting old...help
when you are able (physically and financially) ask for a referral to see a Physical therapist who specializes in vertigo treatment. Dislodged crystals in the ear can cause vertigo. Mind you I have never heard of dislodged crystals causing fainting spells but I can ask our PT here. I'm so sorry that you are going through all of this. And the Dr. who told you it's all in your mind, needs to go back to medical school or leave medicine... IMNSHO

Re: This is getting old...help
Even if your standard point and shoot doesn't have sound, it probably has video capabilities. Ours is really really old and can do video. I would have dh or an older kid have that on them at all times and have them familiar with it enough to whip it out and shoot the second you start falling. It would help if it could hold a charge well, or something, but hey, worth a shot no?

Re: This is getting old...help
Just want to let you know how sorry I am you are having to deal with this, and wish I had an answer... I have had vertigo before and it is very wicked.... Lots of dizziness, visual disturbance, loss of balance, and feel like you cant stand up bc, well, you can't because of no balance.... Makes me sick to even think about... I am sure, by now, that's been checked, but in case it hasn't....
Hope you get some relief soon,
Lots of hugsMy Feedback
