Thread: This is getting old...help

Re: This is getting old...help
Unfortunately I'm a terrible liar. Just ask DH. He's always complaining I need to learn to lie better.
I have seasonal allergies and I'm allergic to shellfish but that's about it. As for mold, I don't think so. I wouldn't even know what toxic mold looked like. We do get mold around the windows some but we've gotten that ever since we've lived here and I try hard to keep them clean. We get it because DH insists on keeping the curtains closed constantly. How would you tell if it were toxic?Singing and crafting SAHM to 3 little ones and one :halo:

Re: This is getting old...help
I think you have to have it tested to know what kind of mold it is. How do you clean it? I used bleach/water to spray down a bathroom that started getting mold in my old house.

Re: This is getting old...help
Plain vinegar will zap mold too.
You ought not to be using bleach or vinegar and fighting mold while having your health issue (whatever it is). Even a top condition human can faint while doing clean up work like that.

Re: This is getting old...help
I generally use the vinegar mixture to clean it. Unfortunately it's gotten into the wood of my, hmm not sure what to call them. they are put in my windows to look like they are paned. I'm thinking of getting rid of them and seeing if that keeps the mold at bay at least in my sun room where it's the worst right now.
I've come to the conclusion that I really hope I'm not pg. I mean I still desperately want another child but DH and I talked a little last night and I didnt' hear what I wanted to. In fact I heard all the wrong things. Not only would it cause a lot of problems between me and DH but put a strain on our relationships with our extended families. I hope those tests get here soon.Singing and crafting SAHM to 3 little ones and one :halo:

Re: This is getting old...help
I guess I am not totally clear on what you said about having it removed. It isn't covered by insurance and it is too expensive to have it removed w/ out insurance? I would really make that a top priority since it is causing so many problems and you are having all the other things to deal with. Do you know what it would cost to have it removed?

Re: This is getting old...help
Insurance will only pay for it's removal at the end of 5 years or unless it's considered medically necessary for it's removal. And because there is no proof that it's causing all my problems they wont cover it. When I called to ask the office how much it would cost they siad htye weren't sure exactly but they thought it would be aorund 200 dollars. personally i feel it's a small price to pay but DH is of another mind and as he controls the money for the most part I can't just go and have it done.
I'm going to bring it up to my gp on Tuesday and see what he says and have the u/s done and go from there but I'm really leaning towards wanting this out and seeing if it doesn't make a difference in everything. The difficult part is convincing DH.Singing and crafting SAHM to 3 little ones and one :halo:

Re: This is getting old...help
I get that about the money. I hope when you are able to talk to your gp and maybe push the issue a bit they will see it as medically necessary. Maybe it isn't contributing to the bigger issue but it does seem to be a problem. I hope you can get someone who has the power to make that decision to work on your side! Take care.

Re: This is getting old...help
I think hades just froze over. brought up getting my IUD removed again to my DH and just told him flat out I was doing it and explained to him how much I thought it would cost without insurance and he said ok. He thought it was going to cost thousands but he said for a couple hundred we could handle it especially if it got rid of some of my health issues. I'm just flabbergasted. I'm still pushing for insurance to cover it but still htis is a big step.

Yay for hubbies with common sense!!! He is likely willing to fork out the money because he is worried about you.
