I know with my 3 boys that are toilet trained, it just seems that at that age they are very easily distracted and it really takes time for them to mature into know their body's signals. I would try to see if there is a pattern to when he is having accidents (is it usually at a certain time of day). Also is he constipated, I know some children will "hold" it because it is painful, then have an accident.

For us what worked was lots of patience and time. Gentle reminding and watching for any cues that they needed to go to the bathroom.

Well that is one of the reasons I waited so long to potty train, I kept getting preggo. Maybe try keeping up with when he is going to the bathroom for a few days and see if there is a pattern. If you find one then try to get him on the potty at that time and make it a special time with a book or something.

Trust me I know it can be hard with a baby. He will get better at this as he gets older. Sometimes it just takes time. Gently remind him that he needs to go and maybe get him some special undies. Then you can remind him that he doesn't want to mess up his "spiderman" (or whatever) undies.
