Doggy dandruff.........ewww.
Any home remedy ideas ???
Shes an inside dog, lab collie mix, we do not bath her often. She is regularly brushed.
Very flaky, kinda gross.
I do not want to go out and start buying and trying all different kinds of dog shampoos.
I normally hang out in the crafty section but I saw this forum and I thought I would give it a try !!!

extra virgin olive oil. works great on dandruff..... rub it good into the skin, let it set for a couple of minutes and then wash with mild shampoo.

I guess it would be easier if we trimmed her hair short ??!!!

Not sure trimming would help. Seems like it would just make it more obvious. The EVOL works. We had a dog who had short hair and got it bad, so we mixed some with water and would spray her with it. Also works on birds actually!!
