    Easy Peasy Nighties SnS

Do you see a pattern here? I'm a LAZY sewer. Totally. So, I have about a bajillion patterns for pj's, and Marissa is in desperate need of nighties. Instead of making the cute, frilly ones, I opted for the plain, no-frills, flour sack kind. I'm such a good mom, LOL.

Anywho, the pattern called for bias tape on the neck and armholes (uh, no), so I did facings instead. I didn't have any bias tape on hand, and I'm not running out to buy some, and I don't know how to make my own (I've tried and failed miserably), so facings it was!

First one (she *totally* had to pee while I was taking this pic, LOL):

Second one (look at me all fancy adding color at the bottom

She insists they're dresses, and I insist that they're too sheer to wear out of the house.

    TFL!

I used Simplicity 9292, view A, and omitted the bias tape. I traced the front and back pieces to about 1.5" below the armpit for facings.

The pattern runs really big, and I measured my 8 yo, who wears 10-12 in RTW, and made the size 7 with a 10 length. It's a really quick pattern, though, and I've made her 3 nighties with it so far.

    HTH!

    thank you!

For night gowns I used a nightgown that was worn and sort of looked how it was put together, but I don't have the floor space with an 18mo in the house. Can you imagine her with pins? ::: shudders :::
