it will be the first time away from T for that long of a time period.

he is a pretty frequentnursling still & i in no way want him to wean.

what should i do? he'll be w/ my MIL from 10am to prob 2am or so ~ i am torn.

i don't pump at all, should i start? he had never had a bottle - do we try & get him to take one then? shoud i try and him to learn to take a sippy cup of other than-me milk for bedtime?

When I went to buy PRR fabric, I went 2hrs from home from about 6pm Monday till 8pm Tuesday. Chloe was about 18mos old then? Not too much older than Teaque will be. Honestly, she was fine. Does he eat plenty of food? Chloe didn't even ask for nursies the entire time I was gone. She was fine with just her food and water cup He will be ok, it's not like he needs your milk to survive anyway yk? As for the comfort part... wasn't even an issue for Chloe. I know all kids are different though. She just didn't seem to mind. Maybe he will be the same way. Oh and I didn't get all engorged either like I thought I would!!!!

I guess I would pump and put it in a sippy cup. Alex doesn't have a problem drinking water from a sippy cup. I was gone from 6am-8pm once when Saige was 14 months while dh was in the hospital. She was eating a lot of solids so she was ok with grandma, but she got cranky towards bedtime. I'm sure he'll be fine. It's just one time.

I agree. I have left Chris a few times with DH for hours at a time. He drinks water out of a sippy cup and eats plenty. He won't drink milk.. but he was fine.

((hugs)) I'm sure T will be just fine with your MIL.. enjoy your show!

I'd pump and use a sippy cup. Why introduce a bottle now. They have sippy cups with soft lids and that's what I first used on my boys.

You may want to pump while you are out that day. That is a long time to go without nursing!

    Have fun!

He should be fine, Nic. Its probably a lot harder on the mama than on the baby, no? I left my little boob man for *3* days to go on an anniversary trip w/ dh last month. I was a wreck and Bastian was, of course, fine drinking his nursie from a sippy cup. Granted, he was 19m/o then but is a very frequent nurser. I also leave him 8+ hours during the day when I have clinicals. He does fine. His bros keep him busy, lol! Anyway, I usually hand express in the bathroom once during the day and that keeps me from feeling really full.

So go to the show (I know you're stoked!!), have a kick-bootay time, and try not to worry about the T-man too much. He'll be just fine...and really excited to see his mama when you get back!!
    Blessings,
    Ashley
